Poker machine scandal could bite Crown

Crown could be facing action from Victoria's gambling regulator following allegations the gaming giant's poker machines were tampered with.

Federal parliament in October heard whistleblower claims the Melbourne casino disabled lower betting options on machines and modified buttons to allow autoplay - which is banned.

The Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation is expected to make a statement on Friday.

Independent federal MP Andrew Wilkie, who took the former casino employee's concerns to parliament, said he continues to be approached by whistleblowers detailing alleged misconduct at the casino.
